The longer you have been teaching, the thicker your files are getting, but it is never too soon or too late to add to your pool of resources.
You may already be familiar with the following websites, or this might be your first introduction. Either way, each of them can be a ready resource for your ESL teaching needs and a way to freshen your teaching plans and answer your questions.

我愛演講˙演講愛我… 才怪!
最近又有英語朗讀比賽
原因三:如果夠用心,小朋友應該都先查過字典、問過兄姊或補習班老師、在家裡練過了!偏偏一大堆懶蟲等著我從頭教起、一字一句盯著練,你也知道我有『絕對要對得起自己名聲』之潔癖,不想讓來者失望離去… 所以,套學姊Oona老師的一句戲言:「英文老師就像妓女,要隨時滿足各方無理要求,卻又陪笑臉、裝樂觀!」我說:「不只這樣,我稱讚的話語、叮嚀的重點還都換湯不換藥,等於是明明喉嚨快掛了、還得跟他們說:『太棒了!你真的有進步耶~ 我們再唸一遍吧!』這種【扭曲自己稱讚恩客】法,還真讓光顧我的『客人』奔相走告、讚不絕口… 可是怎麼一點酬勞都沒啊?真慘…」

有興趣的請上他的網站囉每到校內英語說故事比賽時節,我就一個頭六個大!
頭大原因一:『少子化現象』並沒有發生在各班推出的代表同學身上啊!每班還是三到四人參加比賽,而且好像只認識我一樣、全都擠過來了… (校內還有很多英語老師啊,小朋友!)
原因二:小朋友A, B來找我練習,回去沒幾節後、又有別班的ㄅ、ㄆ、ㄇ、ㄈ也加入,隔天Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, Si更聞風而至… 簡直是繁殖!早自修、升旗、午休、放學後、甚至我沒課的時候,通通都被『包』起來了!當紅牌的滋味可不好受… 很累啊!

今天(2007_10_26)下午從一點半到五點半,整整四個小時,我的喉嚨沒歇過、舌頭沒停過… (好像真的是pro? Professional or Prostitute?) 多虧學校圖書館傅阿姨看了心疼、還泡杯金桔茶給我潤潤喉呢… 感動感動!
到底是在累什麼勁兒啊肥蝙蝠?不是聽一聽、給點意見就得了?No~ No~ No~ 那樣路人甲乙丙都會,OK?
我不想讓這個訓練過程淪為『低層次教授演講技巧課』,我的宗旨是:
1. 讓他們每次來找我練習,都是歡樂、難忘的語言探險;
2. 挖掘測試他們的觀念(對語言或生活都行),讓我自己玩玩觀察歸納的測驗;
3. 維持我的準度,爆發我的能量,當英語教師的一天,就是專業!
(好啦,第三點很臭屁… I know.)

駐芝加哥辦事處文化組說明該電台網站提供影音、網站、數位媒體、研討會、在職進修等系列教學資源。其中 "PBS Kids Go! Video on Demand" 、"PBS Kids Island" 及 "PBS Teachers" 等網站所提供之網路互動遊戲確劇提升學習興趣之功能。
"PBS Kids Go! Video on Demand(兒童快樂行) (www.pbskids.org/go/video)目前約有1,500項節目,包括300種PBS Kids完整影集、800項短片及100項西語短片/影集。
PBS Kids Island (幼兒暢遊島) (www.pbskids.org/read/)係美國公共電視台 "兒童閱讀學習網站" (www.readytolearnreading.org) 中之主要課程,提供在家中及學校學習之兒童、家長、教師及幼保人員免費閱讀遊戲及活動。 PBS Kids Island以融入式經驗,使學童在進行遊戲及儲存遊戲的過程中,同時可將所贏得的線上虛擬票換取實體獎品。 此外,家長及教師也可經由該網站追蹤學童之學習進度。
